Imagine a fantastical land of spirited souls and divine dragonfolk who guide each other to greatness. This is the world of Dragons & Travellers’ Tales, and one which you will create by playing this tabletop game together.
With its deeply customized version of the Forged in the Dark role-playing system, Dragons & Travellers’ Tales will give you and a partner all the tools you need to make your own fantasy setting filled with a colorful ensemble of adventurous sojourners.
Like in your favourite fantasy stories, play cycles between chapters about individual characters and world building sessions that help fill out their world and its happenings. The more you play, the more connected the characters become with each other and with their surrounding setting, growing together into a rich universe of imagination. Onward, the creation of this world awaits!

Where to start - just wow! I have played a lot of worldbuilding/fantasy ttrpgs but this game is an absolute standout.
86 pages packed full of brilliant artwork, innovative mechanics and prompts - definitely worth the money! The guide/pupil player roles are really interesting and unique, as are the 'sojourner recipes' and character archetypes.
I can't wait to play!
Hi, I've just purchased this and am very excited to check it out, but my macbook can't unzip the file. Is there a way to access the files without downloading the zip?

Hi I just tried opening the zip file on my Mac and it worked fine, so I would try:
1. Downloading the file again to make sure it didn't get corrupted somehow while downloading (Try opening the new file to see if you can access it).
2. If that doesn't work, try uploading the zip file from your Mac to this site and then downloading each file individually. It will do all the unzipping for you!
Unfortunately, Itch.io uses the zip format for publishing so there's not much I can do about the upload. Good luck!

I hope you don't mind me asking if there are already some actual plays I could have a look at or listen to. I'd like to have a short glimpse into the game before buying it :) if not, are there any in the making? (I just found an AP video, apparently from a time when this was a DW hack)

Hello and thank you for your feedback! I am working on getting an AP together to help people learn the game and will post an update as soon as it is ready!
As you know, there is the old DW hack AP, and that should give you a general sense for the feel and orientation of the game, but it unfortunately won't teach you any of the current rules because they are completely different! In any case, thank you again for expressing your interest, and I hope you are able to enjoy your time with the game!
